Would Flavored Floss Make You More Likely to Floss?

Posted on 1/30/2020 by Northstar Dental
Would Flavored Floss Make You More Likely to Floss? When you hear about flossing, you may think about that popular dance all the kids are doing these days, but we're talking about dental floss. Many people don't mind brushing their teeth every day; however, many people do loath flossing.

Though flossing can be a bit burdensome and time consuming, it's a necessary part of your dental routine. Brushing alone isn't enough to remove bacteria and food from in-between your teeth, which makes it important to floss. Though flossing can be a drag, flavored floss may help you floss more frequently.

Flossing has come a long way in recent years. When you go to the store, you'll be able to find all sorts of new flossing products. Many of these products will make flossing easier. For example, many companies have started making flossing picks, so you won't need to deal with a long string of floss. Along with these advancements is a whole array of flosses that have different flavors.

Flavor Can Really Help Make It Easier To Floss

We believe that opting for a flavored floss can help our patients practice better oral hygiene. From old to young, everyone loves to try out new flavors. Floss comes in all sorts of flavors from the typical mint and spearmint all the way to grape or bubble gum. Flavored flosses will ease the burden of flossing by making it more fun. Many children don't like flossing, but we've seen that children react better to flavored flosses.

There are many great flavored flosses out on the market. If you're trying out a flavored floss, just make sure to see if it's recommended by the American Dental Association. This will ensure that the floss does its job properly. We also recommend changing your flavor up every once in a while. Doing this will bring a small amount of excitement to flossing.
