Giving Back To Our Community

Giving Back

At Northstar Dental, we feel like it is our obligation to give back to our community. That is why we provide dentistry and ongoing support to organizations such as Lifeline Dental Network, Freedom Day USA (veterans, and active military), COMOM (CO Mission of Mercy), The Action Center, Equadent community events such as the local school events, science fairs, fundraisers, and more.

The Action Center

Recently, we decided to partner with The Action Center in Jefferson County. The Action Center provides immediate response to basic human needs and promote pathways to self-sufficiency for Jefferson County residents and the homeless.

Our unique partnership allows us to give back to our local community throughout the year in three different ways 1) Offer treatment plans to the Pathway Program receipts to improve their overall oral and dental health 2) Hold donation drives in our office throughout the year to provide much needed items. 3) Provide volunteer opportunities for our employees at The Action Center.

This multi-level partnership that allows us to give back the whole year long! Please look for e-mails about our donation drives, and check out our Facebook page for other community events.

Freedom Day USA

Freedom Day USA is the United States of America’s largest THANK YOU Movement ever!  This national event was founded by Dr. Robert Martino, and built upon by the members of The Platinum Circle, a group of elite dentists  (Northstar Dental is a member of this group) who practice throughout our country. The vision was to give the members of our Military a Freedom Day, a day where we thanked them for giving us our Freedom.   The idea is to provide FREE services, goods, products, etc… as a Thank You for the sacrifice, service and FREEDOM which these men and women have provided to us.

Freedom Day USA is a 501c Public Non-Profit Charity and is staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers.

Ecuadent

Ecuadent was founded in 1990 to to reach those which have no access to healthcare in neglected regions of Ecuador. Northstar Dental has been participating in the program since its inception. We work with other dental teams from across the country to provide crucial treatments improving the lives of those we reach. For over twenty five years we have served the children of Ecuador with medical and dental care. We also coordinate relief and donations when a crisis may strike, like the earthquakes in 2016.

In our 25 years we have provided; Preventative and restorative dental care; Cleft lip and palate corrective surgery; Burn scar contracture; Improved function and appearance to syndactyly and polydactyly digits; and many other procedures

In 2016, the Ecuadent Foundation and volunteers from Northstar Dental traveled to the province of Esmeraldas, one of the poorest provinces in Ecuador, for our 26th year of mission work. Over four and a half days our team treated a total of 849 children, 607 of which received dental treatment and 242 of which received pediatric care. A total of 3,435 dental procedures were performed! Most of the children we treated were displaced survivors of the April 2016 earthquakes.
